More progress made on the pool and gym addition this spring

More progress made on the pool and gym addition this spring

Construction crews continue to make significant progress on the new pool and gym addition. The pool has been backfilled, with all underground mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire (MEPF) installed. The first of the concrete slab was poured for the pool and painting of the pool ceiling and pool walls is underway. Outside, the masonry is continuing with pre-cast and brick.

Crews are almost finished with the air and vapor barrier on the exterior of the building over the concrete blocks and window installation is nearly complete.

Upcoming construction activity

  • Continuing demolition and environmental work in the second-floor classrooms and library
  • Installing concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls for the elevator shaft and stairs in the welcome center
  • Framing the first-floor administration offices with MEPF to follow
  • Starting excavation of the new addition that will add an elevator and new classrooms
